Cornelia Jakobs will represent Sweden at Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song “Hold Me Closer” after winning Melodifestivalen 2022!
After five weeks of shows, today was the final of Melodifestivalen 2022. This year all six shows were broadcast from Stockholm.
From 28 songs and six shows, 12 qualified songs competed tonight, and the Swedish public and eight international juries voted and agreed to send Cornelia Jakobs with the song “Hold Me Closer” to Turin.
Cornelia Jakobs won the international juries and received the second-most points from the public. Before the final, bookmakers didn’t have any doubt in Cornelia will be the winner.
