Sanremo 2025: A Night-by-Night Breakdown
The festival will span five nights, with different voting systems and formats across the week:
Night One – Tuesday, February 11
All 30 artists will present their entries, with voting conducted solely by a professional jury composed of journalists. RAI will announce the top 5 songs of the night (in random order).
Night Two – Wednesday, February 12
The first 15 artists will perform again, with votes split between a public televote (50%) and a jury of radio broadcasters (50%). The top 5 songs of the evening will be revealed in random order.
Night Three – Thursday, February 13
The remaining 15 artists will perform their entries, using the same voting system as Night Two (televote and radio jury, 50/50). The top 5 songs will again be announced in random order.
Night Four – Friday, February 14
A night of covers! Each act will perform a cover song, either in Italian or a foreign language, optionally featuring guest artists. Voting will be split between the public (34%), journalists (33%), and radio broadcasters (33%). The winner of the cover night will be crowned, but these results won’t impact the overall competition.
Night Five – Saturday, February 15
All 30 artists will return to perform their songs once more. These performances will be judged exclusively by a public televote, creating a combined ranking from previous nights. The top 5 entries will perform again in a final round, with results determined by televote (34%), journalists (33%), and radio broadcasters (33%). The winner will then be declared the champion of Sanremo 2025.
Nuove Proposte Category
In addition to the Big Artists, the Nuove Proposte (Newcomers) category will showcase four emerging artists during nights two and three. One artist per night will advance to the final on night four, where a mix of televote (34%), journalists (33%), and radio broadcasters (33%) will determine the Nuove Proposte winner.
With a rich lineup and an exciting format, Sanremo 2025 promises to be a musical spectacle leading up to Eurovision 2025 in Basel!
