Pauline will represent Germany in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021. She gave us an exclusive interview just before she is going to Paris!
ES: When did you start singing?
Pauline: I´ve actually been singing, ever since I could speak. I´ve had voice lessons now for five years.
ES: You are also playing piano and drums – that´s impressive! Do you play drums in some band or just for fun?
Pauline: I play percussion in the wind ensemble class at my school. It´s a lot of fun to work off my energy on the drumset!
ES: What are your hobbies besides music?
Pauline: I also dance and I´m part of a theater group. In addition, I spend time with my friends.
ES: Who are your musical idols? Who inspires you?
Pauline: My musical idol is Olivia Rodrigo. She sings so beautifully and I love her songs and her attitude.
ES: Are you an Eurovision fan? Was it your dream to go to Junior Eurovision?
Pauline: I´ve only known about the Junior Eurovision Song Contest since last year, when Germany took part for the first time. I found it really cool, and when my voice teacher asked me if I was interested in taking part, I decided to give it a try. I have watched the ESC often and have always been impressed with the fantastic costumes and sets.
