At this year’s Junior Eurovision, we will have two girlgroups. There will be a five-girl group from Armenia which I will review at a later date. The UK’s girl group submission is a trio called STAND UNIQU3. The girls’ names are Hayla, Maisie and Yasmyn. The song itself is one that can become catchy easily. It has a good amount of sass and attitude. The three of them together are very talented. They don’t try to be the next Spice Girls here, and they shouldn’t. They’re young and they’ve got their own style, and it works well.

Are you happy the UK is back in Junior Eurovision? So am I. Freya Skye really helped the UK make quite the comeback. Her song topped the popular vote last year. I see this song scoring very well with the popular vote. I will say in terms of winning, the staging and the live performance will be critical for its success. This is one of these songs where the night of the Contest will be sink or swim in terms of their chances of winning. They have what it takes. It’s just a case of them delivering that night.
