Pesaro submits bid to host Eurovision 2022 with the Vitrifrigo Arena as candidate venue. Pesaro is the second city after Turin to officially start the race for Eurovision 2022.

Pesaro located on the Adriatic coast, not far from San Marino and has a population about 95,000 inhabitants. Despite the fact that the city is not that big, it houses one of the largest venues in Italy – the Vitrifrigo Arena.

The venue has capacity up to 10,000 audience members. It’s not clear how about extra facilities such as the press centre, but the venue’s availability is confirmed.

The mayor of Pesaro Matteo Ricci shared the following post in Italian on Facebook:

This morning together with the assessor of Beauty Daniele Vimini we sent the official demonstration of interest to Rai: we meet all the necessary parameters for participation: the presence of an international airport that doesn’t take more than one hour and thirty minutes, one hotel offer of over 2000 rooms in areas adjacent to the event and an infrastructure, the Vitrifrigo Arena, which meets the necessary criteria.Palas is one of Italy’s greatest, among the most beautiful and suggestive frames to host concerts and shows. Pesaro is Music City UNESCO, boasts an important musical tradition and a dynamic cultural life that has consistently favored a climate of experimentation and dialogue between all the arts.

Let’s see, may be we all will go next May to the Adriatic Sea for Eurovision 2022, why not? 🙂
