The first song for Eurovision 2023 has been selected! Tvorchi has won Vidbir with their song “Heart of Steel”, and will represent Ukraine in Liverpool.
Tonight Ukraine held Vidbir to select their Eurovision 2023 representative. In a show hosted by Eurovision commentator Timur Miroshnychenko and song contest stars Zlata Ognevich and Kateryna Pavlenko, the country had to decide between 10 different acts.
After the 10 performances it was time for the jury and the Ukrainian public to vote on the song to be sent to Eurovision 2023: only one cold got to Liverpool and that honour went to Tvorchi with “Heart of Steel“. The song was inspired by the Ukrainians who defend Azovstal steel factory in Mariupol.
