Yuval Raphael to Represent Israel at Eurovision 2025 After Winning The Rising Star (HaKokhav HaBa) Contest

Yuval Raphael has been crowned the winner of the 2024/25 season of The Rising Star (HaKokhav HaBa) and will represent Israel at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland.

The Israeli talent show, which began last November, concluded on Wednesday, 22 January, with four finalists vying for victory in a thrilling finale. After a night of powerful performances and votes cast by both the judges and the audience at home, Yuval Raphael secured the coveted win—and with it, the chance to perform on one of the world’s biggest stages.

Following her victory, Yuval shared her excitement:

I can’t explain how excited and ready I am!! Thank you for giving me this huge honour and trusting me to represent my country on the grand Eurovision stage in Switzerland.

The competition was fierce, with Valerie Hamaty finishing as the runner-up, followed by Red Band & Moran Aharoni in third place. Daniel Wais, another standout talent, placed fourth earlier in the evening.

At just 24 years old, Yuval Raphael, from Ra’anana, has already made an impressive impact on Israel’s music scene. Having launched her professional singing career only last year, she captivated audiences with her soulful voice and emotional performances throughout the season. Her musical influences span from classic rock legends like Led Zeppelin and Scorpions to global icons such as Beyoncé and Celine Dion, hinting at her diverse and dynamic artistry.

The song Yuval Raphael will perform in Basel will be unveiled by Israeli broadcaster Kan in March 2025.
