Ukraine has chosen its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. After an intense night of competition, Ziferblat emerged victorious at Vidbir 2025 with their song “Bird of Pray”, securing their spot in Basel this May.

Hosted by UA:PBC, Ukraine’s national selection Vidbir 2025 featured ten acts, each hoping to earn the honour of representing Ukraine on the Eurovision stage. With powerful performances and an engaging lineup of interval acts, the competition was fierce.

Once the votes were counted, it was Ziferblat who claimed victory with “Bird of Pray”, a song penned by Daniil Leshchynskyi, Fedya Khodakov, and Valentyn Leshchynskyi.

Who are Ziferblat?

Ziferblat is a Ukrainian alternative rock band, formed in 2015, consisting of:

Daniil Leshchynskyi – Vocals

Valentyn Leshchynskyi – Guitar

Fedir Hodakov – Drums

The band made their debut with the 2017 EP ‘Кіносеанс’ (Cinematic Session), followed by their first full-length album ‘Перетворення’ (Transformation) in 2023.

This is not Ziferblat’s first attempt at Vidbir. The group was longlisted in 2023 with their song ‘З
