14yo Ayana has won the Dutch National selection “Junior Songfestival” and will represent Netherlands at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021. She will perform the song ‘Mata sugu aō ne’ on 19th December. Four entries competed in the show.
Four finalists competed at Junior Songfestival 2021: Ayana – “Mata sugu aō ne”, Melody (Angelina, Ceder, Faye, Mirre and Soline) – “Niet Wat Vriende Doen”, Priscilla – “Be Alright”, SH!NE (Jade, Loïs and Lyova) – “A Million Little Things”
Adult jury with JEANGU MACROOY, EMMA HEESTERS and ROLF SANCHEZ gave the highest 12 points to Ayana. And young jury also gave her 12 points. So after jury voting it was already clear that she is the winner. And Dutch public gave her 9 points – third place.
Ayana was born in the Netherlands in an international family- her father is from United Kingdom 🇬🇧 and mother is from Japan 🇯🇵 That’s why Ayana knows three languages and in her song “MATA SUGU AŌ NE” she sings in Dutch, English and Japanese.
