The Grand Final of Eurovision Song Contest 2021 took place in Rotterdam, where 26 countries competed for the trophy, and the honour of hosting next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
Måneskin from Italy wins Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song “Zitti e buoni”. It’s the third time Italy wins Eurovision. It was one of the most hotly contested Eurovision Song Contests ever. Italy also was the bookmakers’ favourite to win Eurovision 2021.
Switzerland won the jury vote in which Italy came fourth, but the 4-piece Italian rock band won the public vote by a landslide, scoring a total of 529 points and leaving Switzerland in 3rd place behind France.
Måneskin is an Italian band that includes vocalist Damiano, bassist Victoria, guitarist Thomas and Ethan on drums. They took the name of their band from the Danish word “moonlight” as a tribute to their bassist Victoria’s homeland.
