The Maltese broadcaster has officially revealed the 24 artists competing in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 (MESC 2025), the nation’s selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest. One of these acts will represent Malta in Basel, Switzerland, this May.

The lineup for MESC 2025:

  4. AZIZ/A” – Kurt Calleja
  5. Kant” – Miriana Conte
  6. Hideaway” – Mark Anthony Bartolo
  7. Concrete” – Nathan Psaila
  8. Breaking the Cycle” – Miguel Bonello
  9. Control” – Matthew Cilia
  10. Te Amo” – Dre’ Curmi
  11. Yo Listen” – Martina Borg
  12. LalaRataTakeke LalaRataKabum” – Kantera
  13. Still I Rise” – Justine Shorfid
  14. Rubble & Stone” – The Alchemists
  15. Unheard” – Krista Šujak
  16. Love Me Loud” – Kelsy Attard
  17. Festa (No Time for Siesta)” – JVF (Jessika, Victorio, Fabrizio)
  18. Wildflower” – Marie Claire
  19. Miegħek Biss” – Kurt Anthony Cassar

The lineup includes an exciting mix of newcomers and returning Maltese selections participants and former Eurovision stars. Among the participants:

Fabrizio Faniello, Malta’s representative at Eurovision in 2001 and 2006, is teaming up with Jessika, who represented San Marino in 2018. Together with Victorio, they’re aiming to bring their combined experience back to the Eurovision stage.

Kurt Calleja, who carried Malta’s flag at Eurovision 2012 with “This Is the Night”, is also making a highly anticipated return to the MESC stage.

MESC 2025: The Format

MESC 2025 will unfold over three shows packed into five days in early February. Here’s the schedule:

Semi-final 1: 4 February 2025

Semi-final 2: 6 February 2025

Final: 8 February 2025

Each Semi-final will feature 12 acts, with the top eight from each advancing to the Final. The results will be determined through a combination of jury votes and public voting. On 8 February, the finalists will compete for the ultimate prize: the chance to represent Malta at Eurovision 2025.
