Since her Eurovision victory in 2018, Netta has gifted the fandom not only with quirky music and flamboyant outfits, but also with an annual tradition: predicting the next Eurovision host city. Unfortunately for her (and hilariously for us), her track record so far is… well, let’s just say “less than psychic.”

Since her very first prophecy in 2019 — when she predicted Jerusalem but the contest landed in Tel Aviv — Netta’s “oracular powers” have been delightfully off-mark. In 2022, she was convinced it would be Rome, yet Eurovision packed its bags for Turin instead. Year after year, her crystal ball seems just a little out of tune, but that only makes the tradition more entertaining.

Fans have come to look forward to her yearly prophecies almost as much as the actual contest itself. And today, the pop queen made her grand 2026 prediction: “It’s Innsbruck!”

Innsbruck, under the slogan “Together on Top”, is pitching the Olympiahalle, an alpine-ready arena with space for about 12,000 fans, plus a Eurovision Village in the historic Landestheaterplatz. It’s compact, walkable, and deeply infused with mountain flair.

And we have another strong contender: in the hosting race is also Vienna, with its campaign “Europe, shall we dance?”, is drawing on Eurovision pedigree and logistical strength. It’s going bold at the Wiener Stadthalle, capacity ~16,000, alongside citywide transport, infrastructure, and hotel advantages laid down from its 2015 hosting role.

The suspense won’t last long, though — the official host city for Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will be announced tomorrow, August 20th.

Will Netta finally be right this time, or will her prophecy streak continue? Only the EBU knows.

Until then, keep your lederhosen handy — just in case.
