Austria has officially revealed the Top 12 acts competing in Vienna Calling – Wer singt für Österreich?, the national selection show that will decide who represents the host nation at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna on 16 May 2026.

After receiving over 500 submissions from all nine Austrian states and auditioning performers in live castings last November, the ORF editorial team — together with international scouts — has chosen twelve artists and bands who will take the stage on 20 February 2026 in a live broadcast on ORF 1 and ORF ON.

The show marks Austria’s return to a public national final format for the first time since 2016, with jury votes and televoting by the Austrian audience combining to decide the winner.

Hosts for the evening will be Alice Tumler — well-known for her Eurovision coverage — and Cesár Sampson, Austria’s 2018 entrant who finished third in Lisbon and also served as a scout for this year’s selection.

Here are the 12 artists and their songs that will compete to represent Austria at Eurovision 2026:
  • Anna-Sophie — “Superhuman” (Pop, English)
  • Bamlak Werner — “We Are Not Just One Thing” (Pop, English)
  • Cosmó — “Tanzschein” (Pop, German)
  • David Kurt — “Pockets Full of Snow”
  • Frevd — “Riddle”
  • Julia Steen — “Julia”
  • Kayla Krystin — “I brenn” (Austro-Pop)
  • Lena Schaur — “Painted Reality” (Pop, English)
  • Nikotin — “Unsterblich” (Pop, German)
  • Philip Piller — “Das Leben ist Kunst”
  • Reverend Stomp — “Mescalero Ranger” (Pop, English)
  • Tamara Flores — “Chingona” (Latin-Pop, Spanish/German)

A Diverse Musical Showcase

The selected lineup reflects Austria’s rich musical diversity, spanning English-language pop, German-lyric songs, Latin-inspired rhythms, and genre-blending entries — showcasing voices and styles from Vienna to Tirol and Kärnten, and beyond.

ORF Program Director Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz praised the field for its creativity and variety, saying the Top 12 are “mutig, vielfältig und kreativ” — brave, diverse, and creative — and that it’s now up to the Austrian public and Eurovision fans at home to decide who will take the Eurovision stage next May.
