Azerbaijan has officially launched its national search for the young star who will represent the country at the 23rd Junior Eurovision Song Contest, taking place on December 13, 2025, in Tbilisi, Georgia

Call for Young Talent

İctimai Television (İTV) is inviting children aged 9 to 14 to take part in the selection. The rules are simple: Perform two different songs – one in Azerbaijani and one in a foreign language and send it to ITV.

How Will the Winner Be Chosen?

From the first round of submissions, the most outstanding young performers will be shortlisted. Their talents will then be evaluated by a professional jury of six experts, who will assess stage presence, vocal ability, and charisma.

Only one lucky performer will win the right to represent Azerbaijan on the Junior Eurovision stage in Tbilisi.

Collaboration With the Ministry of Culture

To ensure the strongest possible representation, İTV has also reached out to the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan for recommendations. Young talents who have already proven themselves at international competitions and festivals will be specially invited to join the selection process.

A Chance to Shine on the International Stage

This is more than just a competition – it’s an opportunity for one young Azerbaijani singer to win the hearts of millions, carry the nation’s flag with pride, and showcase the country’s musical talent on one of Europe’s biggest stages.

Azerbaijan in Junior Eurovision

Azerbaijan first entered the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2012, held in Amsterdam. Since then, the country has participated a total of five times.

The nation’s most recent entry was in 2021, when Sona Azizova represented Azerbaijan in Paris with the song “One of Those Days.” She achieved an impressive 5th place, which remains Azerbaijan’s best result in the contest to date.

After a short break, Azerbaijan is now ready to return in 2025 and once again showcase its young talent on the Junior Eurovision stage.
