Benidorm Fest 2025

Tonight, Spain kicked off its journey to Eurovision 2025 with the first semi-final of Benidorm Fest 2025, the national selection to determine who will represent the country in Basel this May. The show, broadcast live on RTVE, showcased eight talented acts competing for four coveted spots in Saturday’s Grand Final.

The lively semi-final was hosted by Eurovision 2014 star Ruth Lorenzo, alongside presenters Paula Vázquez and Inés Hernand, who brought energy and charm to the stage.

The Performers

Eight acts delivered diverse and memorable performances, each vying for the chance to represent Spain on the world’s biggest music stage:

Kuve – “Loca xti”

David Afonso – “Amor barato”

Chica Sobresalto – “Mala feminista”

K!ngdom – “Me gustas tú”

Lucas Bun – “Te escribo en el cielo”

Sonia & Selena – “Reinas”

Lachispa – “Hartita de llorar”

Daniela Blasco – “Uh nana”

How the Voting Worked

The results were determined by a 50/50 split between a professional jury and a public televote. For 2025, Benidorm Fest introduced a new voting system, eliminating the demoscopic vote. Instead, viewers could vote for their favorite acts for free through RTVE Play or via SMS.

Results Breakdown

Both the jury and the televote had identical rankings, highlighting a strong consensus among voters. The combined results revealed the four acts advancing to the Grand Final:

As the competition heats up, Spain is on track to deliver another spectacular entry for Eurovision, and fans are eagerly awaiting what’s to come in the next round of Benidorm Fest 2025. Stay tuned!
