The Benidorm Fest 2025 already has its selected artists – 16 candidates who hope to win the bronze microphone and become the representative of Spain at Eurovision 2025.
The countdown to the fourth edition of the Benidorm Fest is on! After receiving almost 1,000 proposals , 16 artists have been selected to participate in the Spanish preselection. Thesemi-finals of the Alicante competition will be held on January 28 and 30 , from which the artists chosen to compete on February 1 in the Grand Final will emerge. There we will find out who will succeed Chanel, Blanca Paloma and Nebulossa as Spain’s representatives at Eurovision.

Carla Frigo participates in the Benidorm Fest 2025 with “Bésame”
This TikToker , originally from Barcelona, could become as versatile as she shows on her social media. In recent years, she has established herself as one of the most prominent emerging voices on the urban scene in Spain. Her authenticity and closeness to her audience have managed to capture the attention of thousands of followers, where she began to gain repercussions thanks to her content. Carla Frigo will sing “Bésame” is a soft, elegant and very daring song.
Considered one of the new promises of urban pop in Spain, the singer is characterized by an urban pop style that incorporates influences from trap and reggaeton. The themes she addresses revolve around love, freedom and identity. Aspects like these, along with her powerful aesthetic, add up to thousands of plays on platforms such as Spotify or Apple Music.
Celine Van Heel participates in the Benidorm Fest 2025 with “La casa”
The Benidorm Fest is the best place to meet new artists. For this fourth edition, among its 16 artists is Celine Van Heel, who has a small connection with the Alicante event since 2023. Although singing and playing the piano is one of Celine’s hobbies for as long as she can remember, the artist is a photographer and director. Van Heel has had the opportunity to work with big stars from both the national and international scene and to carry out campaigns for large companies in the fashion and sports industries.
Van Heel is a big dreamer with tremendous ambition. From a very young age, her hobbies have been playing the piano and singing, and she’s always put on shows for her family and sung in the shower. Last year, in Benidorm, while accompanying a relative, she played the piano in the lobby of the Hotel Don Pancho. Alfred heard her and saw something special in her. Since then, they’ve been working together on her first album.
It’s her first song and it’s called “La casa” (The House). The song is about love, about the pain of love, above all “about her liberation as the powerful woman that I am. I say goodbye to someone.”
Chica Sobresalto participates with “Mala feminista”
This artist had been thinking about it for almost 3 years and has finally decided to take the plunge. Maialen , better known as Chica Sobresalto, burst onto the music scene thanks to her participation in the eleventh edition of Operación Triunfo. The Navarrese singer began to gain recognition in the music talent scene thanks to her performance at Gala 4, which was with “Dinamita” by La Bien Querida. Maialen appeared on stage wearing a heroine costume that refers to her alter ego .
During her time at the academy, the young woman released “Oxitocina”, which became the first single to be released. The song received close to one and a half million views on YouTube and two million on Spotify.
She introduces herself with “Mala feminista” (Bad Feminist): “It talks about guilt. It is dedicated to women who are put in the way and on top of that, we are required to be empowered”
Daniela Blasco will sing “Uh na na”
The Mallorcan artist, born in 2005 in Palma de Mallorca, has been linked to the world of dance , music and social media for years. Since she became interested in dance as a child, Daniela has experienced a progressive rise in her career on stage, training in international academies in Los Angeles. There she perfected her technique and style, making her a versatile professional ready to give her all in the Alicante competition.
In addition to having a voice that makes her one of the most powerful emerging artists on the current music scene, she has been recognized on several occasions for her skills in urban dance. Thanks to this, she has been crowned with first place on numerous occasions in high-level competitions, such as the Urban Display in Spain or the Hip Hop International, positioning herself as one of the most promising dancers of her generation.

David Afonso will sing the song “Amor barato”
Once again, the Canary Islands will be represented at the Benidorm Fest. This young man from Tenerife already knows what it is like to get up on a large stage. In both 2022 and 2023, David has had the opportunity to participate in the gala opening of the Adult Queen of the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
At just 8 years old, David Afonso began his musical career performing Latin music at various events . Three years later, in 2004, he decided to enter the children’s competition Veo, veo , presented by Teresa Rabal, in which he placed third overall and second in vocals.
In 2010, the artist entered the world of orchestras, becoming part of Melodía Latina. Here he started as a percussionist and then went on to lead the group as a singer. After a year in the group, he moved to The Boys Machine, where he started a new Latin music project, working on all the islands. In 2012, he recorded his first video clip with this orchestra and embarked on a summer tour of Galicia that lasted until 2016.

DeTeresa will sing “La pena”
Inés Ramos de Teresa is a singer, composer and producer from Madrid who has captured the attention of the Spanish music scene with her innovative approach. Born in 1996, the candidate to win the Alicante competition could become the voice of her generation thanks to the intensity that characterises each of her compositions.
A graduate in composition and music production from the British Institute of Modern Music in Brighton (United Kingdom), she has a comprehensive training in singing, dancing and musical interpretation that began when she was just a child. Her experience in musical theatre, together with her interest in cultural diversity, have shaped a unique style that mixes tradition and modernity.
Her song “La pena” is “something that a lot of people go through in romantic relationships all the time.”
Henry Semler will sing “No lo ves” at Benidorm Fest 2025
Henry Semler is one of the 16 participants of Benidorm Fest 2025. This emerging artist burst onto the music scene in 2020, when he moved to Madrid and began his solo career. Since then, he has released five singles and a six-song EP. Although he is still unknown to many, his style, which flows between soul, rock and pop, stands out for its authenticity. He grew up listening to artists such as James Taylor, Leon Bridges and John Mayer, influences that are reflected in his music.
Raised in the Mediterranean but born in the United States, Henry Semler combines his North American influences with a deep connection to English music. However, a few years ago he decided to start composing in Spanish, creating a sound that fuses Anglo-Saxon references with Spanish lyrics. Now, we just have to wait: will he opt for Spanish at the Benidorm Fest, or will he surprise us with some English touches?

J Kbello appears at Benidorm Fest 2025 with “VIP”
Jesús Cabello Pozo , known artistically as J Kbello , is an artist who decided to make the leap from urban dance to music. Beginning his career in the world of dance, J Kbello demonstrated from his early years a deep connection with art, especially with the rhythm and body expression that characterizes urban dance. However, his passion for music led him to explore other artistic facets. In this way, he began to learn to play various instruments. A decision that allowed him to continue exploring his path in today’s music industry.
The real turning point in J Kbello’s career came with his participation in Cover Night , the popular show dedicated to discovering and promoting emerging musical talents. His performance throughout the show earned him a second place, which allowed him to consolidate his popularity and increase the respect of the public and critics thanks to his artistic versatility. Throughout the competition, J Kbello not only showed his vocal ability, but also brought his very personal style to each performance.

K!NGDOM will bring “Me gustas tú” to Benidorm Fest 2025
The band, formed by Ane Rada, Iván Ramírez and Jorge Gomis, has become one of the most notable revelations in electronic pop. Its foundation in 2019 has placed them as a trio capable of defending a style characterized by the integration of synthesizers and an energy capable of capturing everyone who listens to them.
Iván and Jorge, two of the group’s members, met at the Faculty of Audiovisual Communication in Valencia, but it wasn’t until a few years later that they began to take their work in the studio seriously and began recording music that would soon reach an increasingly loyal audience. In 2019, the group debuted with their self-titled album and then released their first EP. Quiero meterme en tu cama arrived in 2020 as a breath of fresh air in a career that, despite having only a short run, continued to grow.
They will sing “Me gustas tú”( I Like You) and they say that the public will not be able to get it out of their heads.
Kuve participates with “Loca por ti”
Electronic pop will once again be present at the Alicante event thanks to Kuve. This artist has had the opportunity to tour under the name El mundo es suyo , which has taken her to major festivals on the Spanish scene such as Sonorama Ribera, Festival Interestelar, Granada Sound, among others.
Recently, KUVE has chosen a new path in the music scene. In her latest works, she has taken the reins of the production of her compositions and has started a new commitment to danceable electronic pop, self-love and good vibes. The artist is in full evolution and ready to revolutionize any dance floor and stage. In the music scene, the singer has published four albums: Regresion , Kuve 3.0 , Castillos de fuego and NO DRAMA .
Kuve will sing “Loca por ti” (Crazy for you) which talks about “true love, the necessary kind, the kind that takes care of you.”
La Chispa will sing “Hartita de llorar“
Blanca Paloma, María Peláe… and now Lachispa ! Flamenco will once again be present at the Benidorm Fest. Claudia Gómez Galindo, known as “La Chispa”, will compete in the fourth edition of the Alicante competition. Originally from Chiclana, Lachispa became known a few years ago on the Juan y Medio programme, where she first showed the talent that would later take her on tour throughout Andalusia. From La Noche Blanca de Flamenco in Córdoba to stages in Tarifa, El Puerto de Santa María, Vejer de la Frontera, Arcos de la Frontera and San Fernando. These stages gave her the opportunity to share the stage with great figures of flamenco, such as Niña Pastori, India Martínez, David de María and La Húngara.
Soon, her talent caught the attention of Rosalía, who added her to her team of backing singers, giving her the opportunity to accompany her on such iconic stages as the Latin Grammys in Las Vegas, as well as in cities like New York and Miami. Who knows? Perhaps her next big stage will be in the Swiss city of Basel. For now, her focus is on the Benidorm Fest, where she will give it her all to conquer the bronze microphone.

Lucas Bun will go to the Benidorm Fest with “Te Escribo en el cielo”
Folklore , tradition and flamenco will be present at the Benidorm Fest once again. All of this by the hand of Lucas Bun. In her sound, she combines elements of electronics, folklore , refined melodic songs, trip-hop, alternative r&b, flamenco and avant-garde pop . In addition, she is an artist who is full of mystery and elusive shyness. Bun even has her own style: she does not have a specific aesthetic, although it is sprinkled with jewels as a hallmark.
He graduated from Berklee (Boston) and is backed by Colombian producer Julio Reyes, winner of 14 Grammy Awards. With him he has recorded some of the pieces that make up his repertoire, including “Caida del cielo”, the master key to a treasure yet to be discovered. On this song, the artist has a total of almost 220,000 views on YouTube.
His song “Te Escribo en el cielo” (I write to you in heaven) has a special meaning “I wrote it for my mother who passed away a year ago. When I think about her, I get very emotional.”
Mawot sings “Rayo di sole”
The first stage of his career as a singer culminated in 2001, when he participated in the Benidorm Festival. From that moment on, Roberto Comins, the creator of this musical project, dedicated himself to producing music for other artists. However, he has now decided to return to his origins, resuming the path that led him to the stage, his true place of expression.
Born in Castellón in 1973, music was present in his life from his childhood, especially thanks to his father, who introduced him to the world of disco music. Together they enjoyed bands such as Modern Talking and Boney M. In the early 80s, the iconic video for Michael Jackson’s Thriller left an indelible mark on him, inspiring him to pursue a career in music. At the age of 17, his father gave him a Roland E-70, an instrument that marked the beginning of his career as a composer and ignited his passion for creating his own songs.

Melodía Pérez is a Canarian artist who has made music her absolute hallmark. Born in 1989 on the island of Gran Canaria, the performer nominated to win the Alicante competition is a multidisciplinary figure who blurs the boundaries between genres and labels.
Integrating her role as singer, composer, dancer, producer and actress in a single project , her art is as broad as her artistic influences. The singer has confessed on more than one occasion that soul, reggae and jazz are genres that directly influence her creative process. Inspired by her experiences in countries such as Cuba and Portugal, Mel fuses her Latin roots with the cultural essence of the Canary Islands.
“I’m the queen” is her song, “because all of us have a queen inside.”
Melody participates in the Benidorm Fest with “Esa diva”
A true star , the singer from Seville will once again participate in a Spanish preselection, 16 years after doing it with “Amante de la luna” in ‘Eurovisión 2009: El regreso’, a programme in which she finished in second place, only behind the winner and representative in Moscow, Soraya Arnelas with “La noche es para mí”.
Melodía Ruiz, known worldwide as Melody, is a singer much loved by several generations. Her first big hit came at the age of 10, conquering the country with unforgettable songs such as “El baile del gorila” and “De pata negra” . Becoming the song of the summer in 2001, her success led her to go on international tours. Her debut album, De pata negra , was even nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2002 for Best Children’s Album.
Twenty years after her rise to international fame, Melody already has six studio albums, including her most recent works: Parapapá and Rúmbame . In addition to her musical career, she has been a judge and guest artist on various television programs. Her talent has also taken her to the cinema, debuting in the comedy Ahora o nunca by María Ripoll, and to television, with collaborations in the series Arde Madrid by Paco León and La Casa de las Flores by Manolo Caro.

Sonia and Selena sing “Reinas”
23 years after their big hit “ Yo quiero bailar”, Sonia and Selena are back after their entire audience asked them to return to the stage. In addition, the duo is also facing a Spanish preselection again, since with their iconic song they tried to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 in the Eurocanción .
Behind this Latin pop duo are the singers Sonia Madoc and Selena Leo . As a musical couple, they achieved enormous success in the early 2000s. With the album called Yo quiero bailar , they sold 1,500,000 copies in Spain and Latin America that summer, with which they achieved several Gold and Platinum Records. After just over a year, the group dissolved and the artists decided to continue their solo careers.

Benidorm Fest 2025
Benidorm Fest 2025 will have three live shows:
- Semi-final 1: 28 January 2025
- Semi-final 2: 30 January 2025
- Final: 1 February 2025
Each evening, eight artists will present the songs they want to bring to the Swiss city of Basel in May for the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. The four most voted songs from each semi-final will advance to the grand final, where we will finally find out which of them will win the bronze microphone .
The results of all three shows will be in the hands of an expert jury (50%), a demoscopic jury (25%) and televoting (25%).
