Ireland has chosen its representative for the 69th Eurovision Song Contest! Emmy has won Eurosong 2025 with her song Laika Party and will fly the Irish flag in Basel this May.
Once again, Ireland’s long-running talk show The Late Late Show hosted the country’s national selection for Eurovision. Six acts competed in Eurosong 2025, all hoping to win the golden ticket to Eurovision. The show, hosted by Patrick Kielty, took place in Studio 4 at the RTÉ Television Centre in Dublin.
The result was determined by a combination of votes from an international jury, a national jury, and the Irish televote. Emmy emerged victorious, securing 10 points from the international jury and 12 points from both the national jury and the Irish public vote.
Who is Emmy?
Emmy Kristine Guttulsrud Kristiansen is a Norwegian singer-songwriter with a lifelong passion for music. She began writing songs at the age of seven, often collaborating with her brother.
Her journey in music competitions started in 2015 when she participated in Melodi Grand Prix Juniorwith her song Aiaiaiai. In 2021, she competed in Norway’s Eurovision selection, Melodi Grand Prix, with Witch Woods, and just last year, she co-wrote Woman Show, which was performed in Norway’s national final.
Beyond her Eurovision experiences, Emmy has worked with notable producers such as K-391 and Braaheim and continues to develop her career as a singer, songwriter, and freelance graphic designer.

Laika Party was written by Emmy Kristine Guttulsrud Kristiansen, Erlend Guttulsrud Kristiansen, Henrik Østlund, Larissa Tormey, and Truls Marius Aarra. The song is expected to bring an energetic and engaging performance to the Eurovision stage in May.
