Erika Vikman has been crowned the winner of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) 2025 with her electrifying entry, “ICH KOMME”, and will fly the Finnish flag at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel.
The final result was determined by a public vote (75%) and an international jury (25%), with Vikman securing an impressive 430 points to take the top spot.

Who is Erika Vikman
One of the most prominent names in Finnish pop music, Erika Vikman has been captivating audiences for years. She began her career at a young age, performing in summer theatres and TV shows, before gaining nationwide recognition in 2016, when she won the prestigious Tangomarkkinat festival.
In 2019, Vikman signed a record deal with Warner Music and Mökkitie Records, and a year later, she made her first appearance at UMK with the viral hit “Cicciolina”, which became a cultural phenomenon in Finland. She followed up her success with her self-titled album in 2021, which shot straight to the top of the Finnish album charts.
Reflecting on the impact of Cicciolina, Vikman shared:
“Cicciolina encouraged female artists to be bolder. Female artists tend to be put inside a certain mould. You must not reveal too much, otherwise you get labelled a whore. Someone had to pop the cork to let the champagne flow!”
