Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker and Sandra Studer will be presenting the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 from Basel in May

The 69th Eurovision Song Contest will be hosted by three remarkable women who perfectly embody Switzerland’s motto for Basel 2025: Welcome Home.

Hazel Brugger, Sandra Studer, and Michelle Hunziker are set to take the stage as the hosts of the Grand Final on Saturday, 17 May, at St. Jakobshalle in Basel. The trio will also present the First Semi-Final on Tuesday, 13 May, and the Second Semi-Final on Thursday, 15 May, all from the same venue.

Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR emphasized that the host selection reflects Switzerland’s core values: openness, diversity, multilingualism, and togetherness. These talented women aim to celebrate Europe’s diversity while showcasing Switzerland’s welcoming and inclusive spirit, known for fostering integration and community.

Meet the Hosts

Hazel Brugger

At just 31, Hazel Brugger is an award-winning stand-up comedian and presenter known for her sharp observational humor and engaging personality. Born in the USA and raised near Zurich, she currently resides in Germany.

Hazel’s accolades include a German Comedy Award, the Salzburg Bull, and a Swiss Comedy Award. Described as the queen of wit by the jury of the German Kleinkunstpreis, she is recognized as a voice for the younger generation. A passionate Eurovision fan, Hazel promises to bring fresh and witty energy to the Eurovision stage in Basel.

Michelle Hunziker

Michelle Hunziker, 47, is a household name in European entertainment. Raised in Ostermundigen near Bern, Michelle has become an international star, hosting major shows like Wetten, dass..?Striscia la Notizia, and the legendary Festival di Sanremo.

As one of Switzerland’s most beloved media personalities, Michelle’s extensive experience and charismatic flair add an international touch to Eurovision 2025.

Sandra Studer

Sandra Studer, 55, is no stranger to Eurovision. Competing as Sandra Simó in 1991, she represented Switzerland with the song Canzone Per Te, securing an impressive 5th place. Since then, she has become a cultural icon in Switzerland as a presenter, actress, and singer.

With a long-standing connection to Eurovision, including roles as a pre-selection host, spokesperson, and commentator, Sandra’s journey has now come full circle. Her charm, professionalism, and love for Eurovision make her a perfect fit to host the event in Basel.
