Portugal has officially concluded its national selection season for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, with Mimicat being declared the winner after a combination of the jury vote and televote

The song was composed by Mimicat herself.
The final of Festival da Canção 2023 featured 13 competing songs, , as this year RTP decided to include an extra qualifier from each semi-final (usually five). And a technical issue during the voting in the first semi-final, when one act’s telephone line was unavailable for a long period of time, RTP decided to automatically qualify them.
