Now Georgia’s Ranina contest doesn’t necessarily decide the participant for Junior Eurovision but ever since 2018, the winner has always represented. This year it’s eleven-year old Anita Agbariani. Ranina is not her only music success. Anita has also won the Arpeggio International Singers Competition in Malta and is a piano student. The song she will sing at Junior Eurovision is titled “Shine Like A Star.” The song is about how she looks to the future and will make it hers. It’s not just her but her generation of young. The song is a mix of classical and modern music mixed together. Right from the start, you can tell this song will be dramatic. Anita displays an incredible variety of vocal styles and vocal ranges in this song. Her bold vocals will demand your attention from beginning to end. The dramatic music adds to the feel of power in the song. You can easily hear why there’s so much excitement over this song. It’s just that bold!

Georgia does make you wonder why they go all out on their Junior Eurovision entries while their attitude seems to be ‘whatever’ to submitting their main Eurovision entries. Last year after France tied Georgia’s record of three wins the year before, Andria’s winning helped Georgia reclaim the record all to themselves with four. Anita and her song obviously show they want to make it win #5. This song definitely sounds like a winner of a song and it’s great seeing the host nation deliver something excellent. One thing is that Georgia often does better in the jury points than online voting points. They may have won last year but they had the sixth-most online voting points. This song will not only need to win juries but the public as well if it wants to win on home soil. Another thing is this song is very difficult to do. Anita has probably the hardest singing job to do of all the contestants. The finishing result of the song will depend on her delivering in Tbilisi.
