Lithuania has selected its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Following an intense five-week selection process, the band Katarsis emerged victorious at Eurovizija.LT 2025 with their song “Tavo Akys”. They will now represent Lithuania in Basel, Switzerland, performing in the first half of Semi-Final 2 on 15 May.
Eurovizija.LT 2025: The National Selection
Lithuania’s national selection, Eurovizija.LT 2025, began with 44 competing acts, divided across five heats. After weeks of performances, the field was narrowed down to 12 finalists for the grand final on 15 February in Kaunas.
The voting process took place in two stages:
• First round: A jury (50%) and the public (50%) determined the top three acts to advance to the Superfinal.
• Superfinal: The winner was decided entirely by a public vote.

The final three acts competing for the title were Liepa with “Ar Mylėtum,” Lion Ceccah with “Drobė,” and Katarsis with “Tavo Akys.” After the votes were counted, Katarsis was declared the winner, securing Lithuania’s spot at Eurovision 2025.
The night also featured special performances, including Lithuania’s 2022 Eurovision representative Monika Liu and Silvester Belt, who performed his Eurovision 2024 entry “Luktelk”.

Katarsis is a Lithuanian dark alternative and post-punk band, consisting of:
• Lukas Radzevičius (vocals, guitar)
• Andrius Gruodis (guitar)
• Emilija Kandratavičiūtė (bass)
• Eivin Laukhammer (drums)
The band is known for its hypnotic melodies, intense climaxes, and emotionally charged storytelling. Their music often explores deep themes, with a cathartic energy that resonates with their listeners.
Katarsis debuted in 2020, and their biggest hit, “Vasarą galvoj minoras,” has amassed over 3.5 million streams.

Lithuania has successfully qualified for the Grand Final in recent years, and Katarsis will aim to continue this streak with “Tavo Akys.” Their performance in Semi-Final 2 on 15 May will determine whether Lithuania secures a place in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
