North Macedonia is another nation known for its loyalty to Junior Eurovision over the years. It’s only missed out three times. Tamara Grujeska was actually the very first participant for this year’s Junior Eurovision to be decided. 

There may be more ballad entries than usual at this year’s JESC but this song stands out. First off, one of the rare times we have a ‘Balkan Ballad’ at Junior Eurovision. The lyrics of the song are very good. Another song about heroes! She sings of a world where there appears to be no more heroes so it’s up to us to be the heroes. She delivers in excellent vocal style. Not just in the skill, but the passion in her singing.

JESC Chances:

For North Macedonia to achieve its best-ever finish at Junior Eurovision, they just have to finish fourth or higher. Tamara has the potential to do it, but she also risks doing a common thing with North Macedonian entries at Junior Eurovision. That risk is a case of an entry from North Macedonia with a lot of buzz before the Contest, but doesn’t live up to the hype on Contest day. Remember the Green Forces from 2021? It’s not just the right staging but also her vocals need to be on to go far in the Contest. She has one of the most vocally-demanding songs of the Contest. Both the vocal skill and the passionate singing will have to be there that night. That, more than anything else, will be make-or-break for her Junior Eurovision result.
