Excitement is building in Spain as RTVE has confirmed the official song reveal date for Benidorm Fest 2026. The competing entries will be unveiled on December 18, 2025, just weeks before the national selection begins in February.
While the artists taking part remain a mystery for now, RTVE has indicated that the line-up will be revealed in the first half of October, giving fans plenty to look forward to in the coming days.

During the recent OGAE Spain Congress, César Vallejo, head of the Spanish Eurovision delegation and co-director of Benidorm Fest, underlined that the festival is “more prepared than ever.” When asked directly if Spain could win Eurovision, Vallejo responded confidently: “I’m telling you, yes.”
The Road to Benidorm
RTVE has confirmed that 870 songs were submitted for Benidorm Fest 2026 during the open call, which closed in late September. From these, 16 entries will be chosen to compete in the fifth edition of the contest, along with potential reserve acts.
The broadcaster has also announced several updates aimed at strengthening the festival’s brand. These include public rehearsals, a new focus on international visibility, and improved staging and artistic direction — signaling RTVE’s ambition to make Benidorm Fest a standalone cultural event as well as a path to Eurovision.
