RTVE introduced the participants of the Benidorm Fest 2024, the pre-selection for Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest.
The event take place in Seville, as part of the Latin Grammy Awards held in the city on November 16. A cross-functional team of RTVE professionals selected the finalists from the 825 proposals received through the online form.
A total of twelve solo artists and four groups, with varying levels of experience in the music industry, will compete in the contest. Their goal is to convince both the audience and the jury with their performances in the pursuit of the bronze microphone and the coveted ticket to Malmö, the host city for the 68th edition of Eurovision.
Get to know the 16 contestants of Benidorm Fest 2024:
Almácor, Angy Fernández, DELLACRUZ, Lérica, Mantra, María Peláe, Marlena, Miss Cafeina, Nebulosa, Noan, Quique Niza, Roger Padrós, Sofía Coll, st. Pedro, and Yoli Saa are the 16 candidates who will participate in Benidorm Fest 2024.
We will have to wait until December 14th to hear the proposals full of diversity and current trends that the casting for this year brings us.
RTVE also revealed the dates for the festival. Ana María Bordas and César Vallejo, co-directors of the third edition of Benidorm Fest, are responsible for announcing this and other details.
Dates for the semifinals and the grand final of Benidorm fest 2024
We already know the days when the third edition of Benidorm Fest will take place! The first semifinal will kick off on January 30, 2024, with the second semifinal two days later, on February 1. The grand final will be on Saturday, February 3. It will be then when we discover who will become the representative of Spain in the next edition of Eurovision!
