Latvia’s public broadcaster LTV has officially unveiled the 24 artists and songs that will compete in Supernova 2026, the national selection that will determine the country’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna. The announcement was made through Latvian media outlets including LSM and LASI, confirming a diverse lineup of new talents and returning artists.

This year’s selection brings together a wide musical range—from pop and indie to electronic, R&B, acoustic ballads, and alternative sounds. Notable names include Ivo Grīsniņš Grīslis, Miks Galvanovskis, Antra Stafecka, and Kristīne Megija, who are already familiar to Latvian audiences.
The 24 chosen entries were selected from 124 submissions, as confirmed by local media. The jury evaluated each song based on originality, vocal execution, arrangement, and international potential.
Songs in Both English and Latvian
Supernova 2026 features a healthy blend of English-language tracks and songs sung in Latvian. Titles range from modern pop hooks like “Blue Disco”, “Home”, and “Oh My My” to Latvian entries such as “Ēnā”, “Te un tagad”, and “Vai tas ir kāds brīnums?”.
This mix continues Supernova’s tradition of showcasing Latvia’s linguistic and stylistic diversity.
Competition Format
Supernova 2026 will consist of:
- Two semi-finals:
January 31 and February 7, 2026 - Grand Final:
February 14, 2026
According to Latvian reports, each semi-final will feature 12 artists. Five acts from each heat will qualify for the final, with the possibility of an additional jury-selected wildcard, bringing the final total to 11 finalists.
Full Song Releases Coming Soon
While snippets and official titles have already been published, the full versions of all 24 competing entries are expected to be released on December 4, 2025 via Supernova’s official platforms and YouTube channels.
This early release gives Latvian and international fans ample time to discover their favourites before the semi-finals begin.
