New format in Melodifestivalen! A total of 30 entries will compete, which is two more than before. The semifinal is transformed into a fifth heat, and in each heat, six entries will compete. 🤩 Two entries will go directly to the final, two will remain in the competition, and two will have finished their participation.
The final will still consist of twelve entries, and the last two finalists will be selected in an extension of the fifth heat. Viewers will have the opportunity to award even more hearts to the ten entries that are still in the competition, meaning those who placed third and fourth in the five heats. ❤
The result will be based on a calculation of the number of votes in the heats and the number of votes in the extension of the fifth heat.
