Tommy Cash Wins Eesti Laul 2025 And Will Represent Estonia At Eurovision 2025 with “Espresso Macchiato”

Estonia has selected its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Following a competitive national selection, Eesti Laul 2025, Tommy Cash has emerged as the winner with his entry, “Espresso Macchiato”. He will represent Estonia in Basel, Switzerland, performing in the first half of Semi-Final 1 on 13 May.

Estonia’s long-standing national selection process, Eesti Laul, once again provided an exciting contest on what was a busy Super Saturday for Eurovision selections across Europe.

The competition featured 16 acts, with the first round of voting split 50/50 between a professional jury and the public. The top three acts then advanced to the Superfinal, where the final decision was determined entirely by a public vote.

After all votes were counted, Tommy Cash and his song “Espresso Macchiato” were declared the winners, securing the opportunity to represent Estonia at Eurovision 2025.

Who is Tommy Cash?

Born Tomas Tammemets, Tommy Cash is a 33-year-old Estonian rapper, singer, and visual artist, known for his distinctive and unconventional artistic style.

Active in the music industry since 2012, he first gained international recognition through his performances at major festivals, including Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) in the Netherlands and Estonia’s Õllesummer. His career has since included collaborations with well-known artists such as Charli XCX, Joji, IC3PEAK, Diplo, and Oliver Tree, among others.

In 2018, he received the Music Video of the Year award at the Estonian Music Awards for his song Surf and released his second studio album, “¥€$”, which reached #1 on the charts.

Tommy Cash has also been involved with artists from the Eurovision sphere, having previously collaborated with Little Big and Käärijä, both of whom have been prominent figures in the contest in recent years.

Looking Ahead to Eurovision 2025

Renowned for his bold visuals and avant-garde performances, Tommy Cash regularly appears at major international festivals, including Glastonbury, Sziget, and Roskilde, where he has performed in front of tens of thousands of spectators.

With Estonia having successfully qualified for the Eurovision Grand Final for the past three years, expectations will be high as Tommy Cash aims to continue this trend. His performance of “Espresso Macchiato” is anticipated to bring a distinctive and unconventional element to the competition.
