Belgium has chosen its act for the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, and it’s none other than Red Sebastian! On Saturday, 1 February, the singer triumphed in Eurosong 2025, winning both the jury and public vote with his song Strobe Lights. He will now carry the Belgian flag to Basel, Switzerland, this May.
This year’s Eurosong featured eight competing entries, all vying for the chance to represent Belgium at Eurovision. The final result was determined by a 50/50 split between a public vote and a jury panel consisting of 15 industry professionals.
Red Sebastian delivered a commanding performance, securing victory with an overwhelming margin. His song Strobe Lights topped both voting categories, earning:
• 132 points from the jury (1st place)
• 291 points from the public (1st place)
With such a dominant win, it was clear that Belgium had found its Eurovision hopeful.

Who is Red Sebastian?
Born Seppe Herreman in Ghent, the 25-year-old artist has been in the spotlight since his teenage years. At just 14, he reached the finals of Belgium’s Got Talent in 2014, showcasing his vocal skills to a national audience.
His passion for music led him to study at the Conservatory of Ghent, where he received vocal training from Gustaph—Belgium’s Eurovision representative in 2023. It was during his time at the Conservatory that he developed his artistic persona: Red Sebastian.
In 2024, he gained further recognition as a finalist on the TV show Sing Again, impressing viewers with both his powerful vocals and striking stage presence.
