Albania is back in Junior Eurovision for their ninth time. This year they send Viola Gjyzeli with a song written by Eriona Rushiti who also wrote the song for Albania’s ESC entry this year. It’s interesting to hear a song with a bluesy feel to it. Viola delivers in the vocals. The thing is unlike the blues, this song doesn’t have a depressing theme to it. Instead the song’s lyrics are about dreaming and wishing for a promising future. It’s very common in Junior Eurovision songs to be about dreaming for the future. That’s one of the many things that being young is about.

JESC Chances::

Except for their fifth-place finish in 2015, it seems like Albania is one of the nations in Junior Eurovision that constantly gets the short end of the stick. They haven’t had a Top 10 finish since and I’m not expecting this song to be the second. Despite the good singing and lyrics of hope, I don’t see this song getting much online votes. I don’t see a bluesy-sounding song scoring well with the young. Also the vocals are good but they don’t grab your attention so much. That might cause a low placing too. Mind you I could be wrong. Last year, I was not a fan of the singing of Albania’s entry and she had the eighth-highest jury points total.
