The winner of the 74th Festival di Sanremo is Angelina Mango with the song “La noia.” She will represent Italy at Eurovision 2024 this May in Malmö

After five nights of shows, Festival di Sanremo 2024 has officially concluded, leaving us with numerous memories, and outstanding performances. The 74th edition of Sanremo will be remembered for the incredible talent showcased throughout all five nights. As the festival comes to a close, there’s one undeniable highlight – we have a winner!

Angelina Mango has emerged victorious at Festival di Sanremo 2024 with the song “La noia,” earning a well-deserved place in Sanremo history.

At the beginning of the evening, Amadeus presented  the combined ranking of all 30 acts from the votes gathered over the first four nights. Following this revelation, all 30 participants graced the stage for one final performance of their songs. After each captivating performance, the votes were tallied and added to the existing ranking, unveiling the top five acts destined for the Superfinal:

  • Angelina Mango
  • Annalisa
  • Geolier
  • Ghali
  • Irama

With the top five acts unveiled, a fresh round of voting commenced to determine the ultimate winner. This final round of voting consisted of three components: the radio jury (33%), the press jury (33%), and the public vote (34%). The excitement was palpable as the fate of the participants hung in the balance during this decisive round. And Angelina Mango has taken the victory at Festival di Sanremo 2024 and now holds a place in Sanremo history.

Born on April 10, 2001, in Maratea, Basilicata, Italy, Angelina Mango is an Italian singer-songwriter. Surrounded by music from a young age, her parents, both musicians, fostered her passion for the art. Growing up, Angelina honed her musical skills, mastering the guitar, piano, and vocals.

After her father’s passing in 2014, Angelina moved to Milan but continued her musical pursuits, maintaining her studies and forming a band with her brother, where she assumed the role of lead singer while he played the drums.

Angelina Mango stepped into the music scene in 2020 with the release of her debut single, ‘Va tutto bene,’ followed by her first EP, ‘Monolocale.’ The year 2021 marked a turning point in her career. She not only opened for Giovanni Caccamo and Michele Placido during their Parola Tour but also showcased her talent at Milan Music Week in November 2021. In the same year, Angelina participated in Sanremo Giovani with the song ‘La tua buona colazione,’ although she did not advance to the finals. Despite the setback, her journey in the music industry continues to evolve, promising more musical milestones in the future.

In 2022, Angelina ventured into the realm of musical competition, participating in the talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi. Despite finishing as the runner-up, she secured victory in the singing category, showcasing her remarkable vocal talent.

The much-anticipated EP, ‘Voglia di vivere,‘ arrived in 2023, making a powerful impact by debuting at number two on the Italian album charts and earning a gold certification. Prior to this, Angelina’s single ‘Ci pensiamo domani’ achieved immense success, securing a top 10 placement and receiving a triple platinum certification. Notably, her highest-charting song to date is ‘Che t’o dico a fa,’ which peaked at number two and attained platinum status, further solidifying Angelina Mango’s position as a rising star in the Italian music scene.
