France has unveiled its artist for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, with acclaimed singer and actress Louane set to take the stage in Basel this May.

The French broadcaster, France 2, confirmed the news, though fans will have to wait a little longer to hear the song she will perform at the competition.

Louane’s Eurovision song is expected to be released in the coming months. Until then, anticipation is building as France prepares to make its mark once again on Europe’s biggest musical stage.

From The Voice to the Eurovision Stage

Born Anne Peichert in Sainte-Catherine, Louane first rose to prominence in 2013 as a finalist on The Voice France. Just a year later, she made her acting debut in the film La Famille Bélier, a performance that earned her the prestigious César Award for Most Promising Actress. Her rendition of Je Vole from the movie’s soundtrack became a hit in France, marking the beginning of a flourishing music career.

A Chart-Topping Career

Since her debut, Louane has become one of France’s most successful contemporary artists. Her first album, Chambre 12 (2015), featuring the hit Jour 1, was the best-selling album in France that year. She has since released four more albums—Louane (2017), Joie de vivre (2020), Sentiments (2022), and Solo (2024)—each showcasing her signature blend of French chanson and modern pop influences.

With Louane’s powerful voice, emotional storytelling, and years of industry experience, expectations are high for France’s entry in Basel.

France’s Eurovision Hopes

France has been a strong contender in recent Eurovision editions, consistently bringing diverse and high-quality entries to the contest.
