Eurovision in Concert took place in Amsterdam on 15th April and 28 Eurovision 2023 participating acts took part!

Eurovision in Concert is one of the biggest and most popular Eurovision preview parties and takes place every year in Amsterdam in the run-up to the contest. The show was founded by a group of Dutch fans in 2009 and has grown into a hugely popular event among fans and competing artists.

The event, hosted at AFAS Live, attracted fans and press from across Europe, as well as distant admirers from Australia and the United States. The venue, which previously hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2012, set the stage for 28 out of 37 Eurovision 2023 participating acts to shine in the spotlight.

In 2023, a total of 28 out of the 40 participants in the Eurovision Song Contest performed on stage in Amsterdam at Eurovision in Concert. Unfortunately, La Zarra, who was announced in the line up and participated at the press meeting, in a statement in her personal Twitter account, announced that she has to cancel her performance at the concert , due to personal circumstances.

The event was presented by Cornald Maas and Hila Noorzai. Cornald has been the Dutch Eurovision commentator since 2006. Hila is a radio DJ who was also part of the selection committee that chose the Netherlands’ representatives this year. She was also press conference host at Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam. As a special guest, the 1997 Eurovision winner, Katrina, enchanted the audience with ‘Love Shine A Light.’

Eurovision in Concert served as a crucial preview of what’s to come in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Participating countries seized the opportunity to send their artists to Amsterdam for a live performance before the main event in the host city.

Beyond the performances, Eurovision in Concert provided a platform for the Eurovision community, bringing journalists and artists together. It offered a chance to reconnect with old friends, forge new connections, and share in the collective excitement leading up to the main event.
