Voyager has been internally selected to represent Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with the song “Promise”

Australian broadcaster SBS has announced today that the band Voyager will be representing Australia at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest, with their song ‘Promise’.

Eurovision 2023 Australia: Voyager “Promise”

After placing 15th in the final last year in Turin, and receiving only two points from the public in the final, SBS canceled the national final, which they used in previous years, and decide to internally select their representative this year.

Last year, in Australia Decides 2022, Voyager took part and ended second with their song Dreamer, just three points behind Sheldon Riley, winning the public vote.

And now in 2023, Voyager finally got the chance to represent their country at the Contest, becoming the first band to do so in the history of Australia’s participation.

Voyager will perform in the second half of the second semi final on 11 May 2023.
