A contest, with an unknown name, will select the Spanish representative over three shows: 2 semi-finals and final, which will be held at the beginning of 2022. The format will select the representative of RTVE for years to come.
Today, starting at 12:30, a press conference has been held from Benidorm where some of the points related to the festival have been advanced. Former Festival di Benidorm was never used as a national selection for Eurovision. However, some of the most international stars of Spain put a soundtrack to Benidorm’s summers, such as Raphael and Julio Iglesias. Both won the Golden Little Mermaid in 1962 and 1968 respectively, with their eternal songs “Llevan” and “La Vida Sigue Igual”.
