Eurovision Australia 2024 Electric Fields

The duo Electric Fields has just been announced as this year’s Australian representative for Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song “One Milkali (One Blood)”

Australia is all set for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.

Since 2015, Australian broadcaster SBS has been taking part in Eurovision. They got invited by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) because of their strong connections with Europe and to celebrate Eurovision’s 60th birthday.

Since then, Australia has been in every contest, and they’re joining again in 2024. This time, the duo Electric Fields will represent Australia in the competition happening in Sweden. SBS chose Electric Fields internally.

Their Eurovision 2024 song, “One Milkali (One Blood),” is out now for everyone to listen to.

“One Milkali (One Blood)” was written by the duo themselves.

Electric Fields is an Australian music duo consisting of vocalist Zaachariaha Fielding (birthday October 1, 1990),and keyboard player and producer Michael Ross (birthday December 11, 1991). They are recognized for their electronic music, often infused with diverse cultural influences.

In 2011, Zaachariaha Fielding gained initial recognition when he auditioned for the third season of the X Factor Australia. Michael Ross followed suit in 2013. While their individual journeys on the show didn’t lead to significant success, in 2015, they joined forces to establish Electric Fields.

Just a year later, their debut EP titled “Inma” was released, marking the beginning of their musical journey together. The release of “Inma” proved to be a pivotal moment, propelling their career to new heights.

In 2019, Electric Fields made their initial attempt to represent Australia in Eurovision by participating in Australia Decides. Their song, “2000 and Whatever,” secured the runner-up position in the competition.

For the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, Electric Fields received an internal selection from Australian broadcaster SBS, granting them the opportunity to participate once again on the Eurovision stage.
