“Zari” was written by Gino the Ghost, Jay Lewitt Stolar, Jordan Richard Palmer, Konstantin Plamenov Beshkov, Marina Satti, Nick Kodonas, OGE, Solmeister, and Vlospa.

The renowned Fokas Evangelinos, known for directing iconic Eurovision performances such as My Number One (Greece 2005), Shady Lady (Ukraine 2008), and Die Together (Greece 2022), will be the stage director for Marina Satti’s “Zari.”

Marina Satti is set to grace the Eurovision stage in Malmö with “Zari” during the first half of the second Semi-final on Thursday, 9 May.

Growing up, Marina Satti received classical piano and vocal training in high school. Although she initially pursued Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens, her passion for music eventually led her to shift her focus entirely.

In 2008, Satti graduated with honors, excelling in lyrical monody under the guidance of baritone Panos Dimas. She furthered her education by studying jazz at the Nakas Conservatory and earning a second degree in advanced classical studies. In 2010, Marina spent two semesters studying jazz composition and contemporary writing at the Berklee College of Music in Boston on a scholarship.

Post-graduation, Marina engaged in various musical groups, including the European Jazz Orchestra, a cappella group The Singing Tribe, and the founding of the female a cappella group Fonés (“Voices”), dedicated to performing traditional polyphonic songs.

In 2016, Marina Satti released her debut single, “Koupes” (“Cups”), accumulating over 27 million views on YouTube. Her second single, “Mantissa” (“Seeress”), released in 2017, made it to the European Union’s Official Top 100 and Bulgaria’s Top 40. Global Citizen hailed it as the “song of the summer.”

May 2022 marked the release of Marina’s first album, “YENNA” (“BIRTH”), which enjoyed considerable commercial success. Marina actively engages in projects promoting traditional music across Europe, contributing to her current position in her career.
