I admit one thing I have not been to happy about in recent Junior Eurovision Contests is the lack of entries with more than one performer. It seems like we often see less and less of them. Cases in point: 2019, 2020 and 2022 only had a single entry that wasn’t a solo singer. This year, we’re well-served as there are five entries that aren’t solo singers. More precisely, we have two duos, two trios and a girl group of five.

Back when Georgia held Ranina 2023, they intended to send a solo singer. Anastasia Vasadze won Ranina 2023 and she was anticipated to be the representative for Georgia. Over time, the officials decided to add it two male finalists from that contest; Nikoloz Kharati and Oto Bazerashvili who will be billed as ‘Ranina.’ This is one of the many ballads at this year’s Contest. The song starts slow, but gets it energy as it progresses to the first chorus. There are bold vocals from all three singers throughout. The lyrics themselves are very empowering. With this year’s slogan being “Heroes,” there many songs in this year’s Contest that focus on being your hero.

JESC Chances: It’s no real secret why Georgia has won the Contest three times. They almost always send something that makes them stand out. It can be because of its quirky style, or one-of-a-kind styling or because the singers’ vocals are incredible. Georgia knows how to send them. This year is no exception. Thing is ballads don’t normally rank high in online voting. Though it doesn’t rob them of their chances of winning completely. They will have to send great staging. Possibly something close to resembling what’s in the video. Staging can make or break this song’s success.
